Microsoft Wants to be Like Google

After having just unveiled their new PPC advertising platform – adCenter – Microsoft has taken another step in becoming just a little bit more like Google. Microsoft says that it has made a significant investment in DeepMetrix, a 14 year old web traffic analysis firm similiar to Google Analytics.

MS plans to add DeepMetrix into future releases of adCenter, Internet search, Spaces and Office Live.  The investment is likely in response to Google’s own purchase of Urchin last year (now called Google Analytics).
