Today Microsoft launched the Windows Live Messenger, one of 20 new Services in the Live concept. Windows Live Messenger goes beyond the traditional instant messaging (IM) service, enabling people to connect and share, with free PC-to-PC calls and inexpensive calls from a PC to phones around the world, video calling, easy sharing with Sharing Folders, and more.

As of now Microsoft invested one billion into their new Live Network and they are planning further improvements. The whole platform is pierced with the hyped AJAX Technology.

I’ve been using this for some time now in Beta. It’s the best Messenger yet.

Nice, well I’d use it, too, but my friends mainly use ICQ.. almost noone MSN 😮 (Using Miranda-IM for ICQ)

yep, although most of my friends are in ICQ and Y!M, I’ve also been using WLM for half a year already during the beta stage. It’s awesome for pc-to-pc calls, the webcam doesn’t have to open to a different window and i like the messenger’s over-all look.

I haven’t used ICQ in ages. I got accounts on Yahoo, ICQ, AIM and MSN.

Any news about a Mac version? 🙂
