Facebook Relationship Status

Good grief Facebook!

Could you possibly make the choices for relationship status any more complicated?

11 different options?

Are you kidding me?

Life is already way too complicated.

Yes, I realize that the new options are far more politically correct. Some people are offended by the new options, while others are jumping up and down for joy, but what the heck would be so wrong with just 3 simple choices?

  1. Looking
  2. Not Looking
  3. None Of Your Dang Business

It keeps it all sweet and simple, ya know? Yes, Mark Zuckerberg, I watched The Social Network along with about a gazillion other people, and witnessed the magic moment when you decided to add relationship status to the profile, but was this really what you had in mind?

Did you really think we wanted to know THIS much?

You realize Facebook isnโ€™t just a bunch of college kids anymore, right?

As always, just my 2 centsโ€ฆ

I love your categories, Cricket. You are right — that would make things so simple!

These are new categories (In a civil union & In a domestic partnership) for me and also not there in my relationship status dropdown.

However, I am happy with my “married” status ๐Ÿ™‚

Pretty sure that I don’t say anything about my relationship status…. I’d as soon keep it that way….

I need Facebook to add this option “Stud muffin”. I mean, you already got a lot of options already to choose from. I want something that fit’s me really good.

Time to go poke people in facebook. ๐Ÿ˜›

I like the new options because people on facebook may not be as straightforward as you probably are so maybe they weren’t that satisfied with the “Not your business” maybe they wanted to display the real status of their relationship..

    my 2 cents anyway..

oh, btw, is v7n afraid of giving back some link love that links are marked as nofollow?

Not at all Kos. We are a big believer in making sure quality comments are followed. I simply had never noticed this one (our SEO blog was already set to be followed) was set to the default. I have since corrected it. I truly appreciate you bringing it to my attention. ๐Ÿ™‚

I prefer number 3 of the category list, but 11 options on the facebook list is quite, lol.
