One Photo A Day

Take One Photo A Day For 30 Days Challenge

Would you be able to make the time to take one photo a day for just 30 days? I’m not talking about masterpiece works of art here. Heck some days you may end up taking a picture of your toe, but if you were serious about it, you could find time for one photograph a day, couldn’t you? C’mon ya know ya wanna!

Just over 5 years ago, my daughter and I went through a life changing event that brought us to our knees. When the severe stress finally began to ease, we found ourselves surrounded in a level of depression that left us just going through the motions of life but not really living.

At about the point that it looked as if I would be fine with never leaving the house again, a friend presented me with a personal challenge – take one photo a day for the next 30 days. With that, the journey through an incredible adventure began…

“Just when the caterpillar thought the world was over, it became a butterfly…”

Each of us deals with our own struggles, but one thing I know for sure is that coming together to share can make a difference.

I am challenging you today to take one photo a day for the next 30 days.

There are no special rules for this challenge. You will decide if there is a theme or if you will simply take totally random shots.

The challenge begins when you do, but I suggest not putting it off.

Start right now, today!

If You Need Some Ideas To Start…

If you want to improve your fitness level, perhaps you could challenge yourself to take a walk every morning (even if it is just 15 minutes) and take one picture during that walk of your surroundings or even a picture of your feet moving!

If you want to improve your nutrition level, perhaps you can commit yourself to taking a picture of one meal every day.

You might decide to take a picture of specific shots daily, such as 30 days of faces, feet, clouds, your face in the mirror, or your cat.

Seriously, it doesn’t matter if you choose a theme or if you are incredibly random, just pick up your camera or cell phone and take a picture.

What Do You Do With The Picture You Take?

Ha! Remember? No rules! YOU DECIDE!

You can post the picture to the photography group daily along with a nice description or comments.

If you are a blogger, you may want to blog your results (and the picture) every day and then post the link to our group.

You can make a folder on FB or Flickr to keep your pictures all in one place, and share the link with us.The possibilities are really endless and 100% up to you.

What Are The Rules?

Seriously, there aren’t any! Just take one photo a day for 30 days no matter what. If you are headed to bed and suddenly remember that you forgot to take a picture that day, take a picture of your slippers. I don’t care! Just take a picture!

What Are The Prizes?

Wait. WUT? Prizes? There are none because this isn’t about what we can win. This is about capturing a single moment of our personal challenges every day. It’s about taking a moment for just us – a moment that we can just be. It’s about coming together as friends.

That being said, I am pretty sure I will end up featuring some of your photos on the V7N blog and I will likely throw in some free directory submissions so do me a huge favor and stop by the V7N Facebook page. Click “like” and leave me a comment, just because you’re cool like that!

So tell me, can I count on you to take one photo a day for the next 30 days?

Yes? FANTASTIC!

Do you already have a theme in mind or are you going to be totally random like me?

I can barely wait to see your results!
