Contextual Links @ V7N Launched!

Tuesday, January 23rd, 2007

This week, V7 launched a great new service - Contextual Links @ V7N - which both link buyers and bloggers can each benefit from. Now you’re probably wondering how this service is different from every other link brokerage service out there, so let me explain.

Contextual Links @ V7N offers you something that no other service can - completely undetectable contextual links that Google cannot identify as paid, and therefore cannot penalize you for. Other services leave a clearly identifiable footprint that Google can detect and has recently been known to devalue. Through the success of the V7N Web Development Community and Forums, V7N also has access to a huge audience of bloggers who can easily fulfill even the largest of orders. This means you won’t have to wait for your orders to get filled. Best of all, V7N offers a very low flat rate fee per link.

Bloggers can join the V7N Publisher Network and start earning money from their blogging efforts. Unlike other services, all you have to do is place a contextual link within a post on your blog. It’s that easy. No bizarre requirements or minimum word counts. Just link it and be done with it! For such little effort you earn an easy $10 per link.

Want to find out more or sign-up today? Then head on over to Contextual Links @ V7N.

$10,000 Blog Contest- Vote Now!

Thursday, October 12th, 2006

Voting for the $10,000 Blog Contest sponsored by John Scott, owner of V7, is currently under way. Over 80 blogs announced their participation in the contest, and a final 10 blogs were nominated to be considered for the #1 prize of $3,000.

Amongst those participating blogs is one of mine, Blogging Blogs. I included over 70+ outgoing links to new, cool, and not-so-known blogs, as well as roughly 15 to 20 reviews of some of my favorite of those blogs. I also spread the word about the contest, announcing it on my blog when the challenge began. When I get caught up with a few other things, I will continue the task of reviewing cool blogs, so if you have one you’d like reviewed, submit it over there and I’ll see what I can do.

As far as the rest of the competitors go, it looks like Trapper is one of the top ones. He’s also done a number of posts, as well as links. Good job!

Voting is taking place on the V7 Forums, so I encourage you to get over there now and vote for the best candidate :)

Note: I am not a paid employee of V7N. I volunteer my time here to write this blog.

New Digital Photography Contest - Theme: “Faces”

Tuesday, September 5th, 2006

The V7 Tech Blog is again sponsoring a digital photography contest. Send us your best digital photos, and at the end of the month we’ll vote on the best one.

The Theme:

This month’s theme is “Faces”.

The Rules:

1. All photos must be taken with a digital camera.

2. All entries should be posted in the appropriate thread at the V7 Forums.

3. A maximum of 5 entries per person are allowed.

4. All photos must fit the “Faces” theme.

5. Contest ends 12:00am EST on October 1st.

And although not a rule, please be considerate and resize your images to an appropriate size.  4000 x 4000 pixel images take too long to load up.

The winner will receive a brand-new geeky tshirt of their choosing, as well as some random prizes of my choosing.

August Digital Photography Contest - Round 1 Nominations

Tuesday, September 5th, 2006

The V7 Tech Digital Photography Contest received 219 submissions. Because of the volume of submissions, we will be conducting two rounds of voting in order to find our winner. All photos have been uploaded to the gallery viewable here: http://www.v7n.com/forums/gallery/browseimages.php?c=37&userid= ROUND 1: Each person may nominate up to two photos to move on to Round 2. The same photo may be nominated multiple times by different people. The top 10 nominated photos will move on to Round 2. Please link to the photos you are nominating. ROUND 2: From the top 10 nominated photos we will create a poll. The photo that gets the most votes wins.

Digital Photography Contest Reminder

Wednesday, August 30th, 2006

The contest will be wrapping up at 12:00am EST September 1st, so be sure to get your entries in if you haven’t done so already.

Voting will begin on September 1st, so be on the lookout for a thread in the Digital Photography Forums at that time.  Because of the large number of entries, we will likely have to have a series of eliminations, meaning a couple rounds of voting.

Thanks to all who have so far participated - your entries are amazing!  Because of the success of this contest, we will be running similiar photo contests each month here at V7 Tech.  However, future contests will likely have a set theme.  The next contest will also be announced on September 1st.
